Friendship You Can Count On, Forever and Ever
Once upon a time, on a cozy little street in Vermont, our founder John Sortino sold his very first Teddy Bear. Since that fateful fluff-filled day, every single Vermont Teddy Bear has come with a promise that’s sweeter than a maple syrup sundae: A Lifetime Guarantee!
What’s that mean? Simple: if your Teddy (or Bunny or Unicorn or Sloth!) ever gets a boo-boo, we’ll fix it. No matter what. For-ev-er-ever. Why? Because friendship shouldn't come with a time limit.
And here’s the best part: Our guarantee is unconditional. (In fact, it’s the only unconditional lifetime guarantee in the stuffed animal industry!)
No matter what happens, we’ll either repair or replace your beloved buddy for FREE!
Accidentally got a bad “haircut”? We’ll fix it.
Played a little too "ruff" with your four-legged friend? We’ll fix that too.
Ripped a paw open while digging for buried treasure? Still fixable!
So don’t worry if life gets a little silly or messy—your Bear’s got a built-in backup. It’s our way of making sure your plush stays part of the family, generation after generation—a mission that’s always been close to our founder’s heart. So go ahead, love your plush with your whole heart.

The One-and-Only Teddy Bear Doctor: Dr. Pam
Not all heroes wear capes… Some come armed with a needle, thread, and magical mending skills. Meet Dr. Pam, the one-and-only Teddy Bear Doctor of the World! (Seriously—she’s it!)
Dr. Pam is in charge of our Bear Hospital, and for more than 25 years she’s been stitching, fluffing, and patching up plush pals with her expert seamstress skills—successfully restoring countless injured stuffed animals. She’s seen just about everything!
Ripped arms? Check. Missing ears? Yup. Slobber-drenched Bears after a game of fetch? All in a day’s work. And it’s not just Teddy Bears she helps! Dr. Pam repairs all our plush animals—big and small, wild and cuddly—with love, thread, and a sprinkle of Bear magic.
When a plush patient arrives, Dr. Pam first triages them and does a full check-up using our Admitting Form. This is how she learns important stuff like:
- The patient’s name
- Fur color
- Age in Bear years (or human years!)
- Allergies (peanuts are a big one!)
- And even… permission to perform Bear surgery!
After that, Dr. Pam gets to work in her cozy Bear Hospital right here in Shelburne, Vermont—with steady hands and a warm heart. Most patients recover in about 3–4 weeks, fully fluffed and feeling fab!
Meet all the plush pals Dr. Pam’s expert hands can fix in our Stuffed Animal Gallery!
Fun Facts About Dr. Pam
- Most Memorable Patient: A little girl insisted only Santa could fix her Bear—so Dr. Pam (who may or may not have a direct line to the North Pole to learn the perfect repair technique from the Man in Red himself!) made sure it came home in a red velvet sack with a special letter from Santa.
- Favorite Teddy Bear: Our magical Special Edition Bears!
- Random Fun Fact: Dr. Pam reads and saves every single letter that comes in with her patients!
