With only 50 ever to be made, this frightfully special Bear is destined to become a treasured piece of Vermont Teddy Bear history.
Dressed for his midnight ride, the Headless Horseman wears hunter green button-front pants, a rich black and purple satin brocade vest, a hand-dyed shirt, and a tattered wool cape that gives him a perfectly weathered, straight-from-the-legend look. But, of course, the most striking detail is the one that isn't on his shoulders.
His removable head is a teddy bear jack-o'-lantern, individually hand-painted by our artisans and illuminated from within by a battery-powered candle for an eerie Halloween glow. Hidden magnets allow the pumpkin head to attach securely at the Bear's neck or in his hand, so you can pose him holding his glowing head just like the iconic Headless Horseman himself.
Created in an exceptionally small edition of just 50 Bears, each Headless Horseman features a paw embroidered with the edition year and its individual edition number, marking its place in this once-in-a-lifetime collection.
